What's On

Autumn Arrives at Osteria Locatelli

As autumn settles over London, Osteria Locatelli turns its focus to the flavours of Italy's harvest months with a new menu.

As the seasons change, the kitchen at Osteria Locatelli embraces one of the most exciting periods of the Italian culinary calendar.

Autumn in Italy is a time of abundance. Markets fill with pumpkins, mushrooms, chestnuts and late-harvest vegetables, while richer, slower-cooked dishes begin to take their place at the table. It is a season that celebrates comfort, tradition and the joy of gathering around good food.

Our new autumn menu reflects these Italian traditions, bringing together the finest seasonal ingredients with the warmth and generosity that have always defined Osteria Locatelli.

Celebrating the Best of the Season

The menu opens with a selection of dishes that celebrate the finest flavours of the autumn harvest. Roast pumpkin is paired with crispy cavolo nero, chestnut purée and toasted hazelnuts, creating a dish that captures the earthy flavours of the season. Alongside it, beetroot carpaccio with smoked almond mousse and thyme offers a vibrant start.

For those who enjoy a balance of creamy and crisp textures, burrata is served with braised apples, rocket and sourdough croutons, celebrating one of Italy’s most beloved cheeses with a distinctly autumnal twist.

Pasta at the Heart of the Table

No Italian autumn menu would be complete without comforting pasta dishes, and this season’s selection pays homage to both regional traditions and family recipes.

Our pumpkin ravioloni, finished with butter, sage and amaretto crumble, bring together flavours that are synonymous with northern Italian kitchens during the cooler months. Mushroom pappardelle combines mixed mushrooms, butter and chives, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through.

For something more indulgent, the tortelloni filled with ossobuco is served with gremolada and rich veal jus, while the bigoli with white lamb ragù and rosemary offers a comforting plate inspired by rustic Italian cooking.

The Perfect Pairing

To complement the new dishes, guests can explore an Italian wine list that journeys from the rolling vineyards of Piedmont to the coastal regions of Sicily and Sardinia. Whether paired with saffron risotto and taleggio fondue, a hearty lamb ragù or a perfectly cooked stone bass, each wine has been selected to enhance the flavours of the menu and celebrate the diversity of Italy’s winemaking regions.
